FAQs
Starting counseling is a big step, and it’s important to feel informed and comfortable as you begin. I see clients during my “mother hours” (Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), which allows me to show up fully for you while also tending to my family and creative work.
If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out. You can schedule your free 30-minute consult here.

Think of it as a casual coffee chat. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for, I’ll share how I work, and we’ll see if it feels like a good fit. If not, I’m happy to point you toward options that might better serve you.
-
My practice is fully virtual. We meet over secure video so you can settle into therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable. Learn more about virtual therapy here.

Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
Have I met it?
Are CPT codes like 90837 or 90843 covered?
What percentage is reimbursed?
What’s the allowable amount?

I see clients Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Weekly Therapy: Steady, consistent progress during these hours.
EMDR Intensives: Booked 1–3 months in advance for intentional, focused healing.
-
I accept private pay and HSA/FSA cards. A card is kept securely on file, and fees run automatically the morning of your appointment.
-
It depends on your goals and your history.
Weekly Therapy: Many clients notice shifts within a few sessions, especially with EMDR. A single trauma or loss often takes 8–12 sessions. Most clients work with me for 6–12 months.
EMDR Intensives: A concentrated 1–3 day format. Some clients meet their goals in one intensive; others return a few times per year.
-
Weekly Therapy: Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead to avoid being charged the full fee.
EMDR Intensives: A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking; the remainder is due on day one. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full.
-
Before we begin, I’ll provide a Good Faith Estimate outlining expected costs so there are no surprises. We can go over questions during your consult.

If you’re in immediate danger or crisis, please call 911, go to the nearest ER, or dial 988. I’m not an on-call provider. For non-urgent matters, leave a voicemail or email, and I’ll respond within 48 hours.

I don’t offer single stand-alone sessions. If you want short-term, focused support, EMDR Intensives are designed exactly for that. Learn more here.
