Because You’ve Carried Enough on Your Own

Hi, I’m Adaris—a faith-based counselor in the Boston area, offering counseling support for women throughout NH and MA. I walk alongside women navigating pain, exhaustion, hidden grief, and seasons of transition, helping them make space for rest as they enter into the work of caring for their hearts and allowing God to restore what feels worn or broken.

This Space Was Made With You in Mind.

You’ve tried to pray harder, push through, and stay strong.
You’ve read the devotionals, listened to the podcasts, and shown up for everyone else.
Yet something inside still feels unsettled, and you quietly wonder: Who shows up for me?

That’s where I come in—not with a formula, but with a space shaped around your story.
A place that honors your faith, meets you with compassion, and helps you gently return to the person God has always seen in you.

Here, you don’t have to carry everything alone.
You don’t need the right words or a plan.
You can come as you are.

This is where you can let go, exhale, and begin feeling like yourself again—rooted, seen, and whole.

Hello, I’m Adaris.

I hold space for women who feel weary from carrying it all—grief, motherhood, ministry, career, and expectations too heavy to name. It’s an honor to walk with you through the in-between places—when life no longer looks like you imagined and you’re unsure who you are becoming.

  • Rooted in evidence-based, biblical, and heart-centered care, my work is guided by compassion. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong”; it’s about remembering who you are, making room for what matters, and becoming who God has called you to be.

  • I work best with women who want to go deeper—not just to process the week, but to understand what lies beneath the surface. You don’t have to show up perfectly here. This is a space to breathe, grieve, rest, and reconnect—with God, with yourself, and with a sense of purpose that feels true and steady.

  • I believe in counseling that makes room for reflection, healing, joy, and becoming—your becoming, shaped by grace and His presence.

What It’s Like to Work Together

You are more than the roles you’ve carried or the expectations you’ve met.

In our work together, we slow things down and make space for what’s real—honoring what’s been hard and gently reconnecting you to who you are and who you’re becoming in this season.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or rushing change. We move at your pace, listening closely and allowing healing to unfold with care.

If you’re wondering what makes this space different, here’s a little more about how I show up and why this work matters.

  • Gentle, unhurried care rooted in compassion.

Our work centers on joy, purpose, and heart healing—but never in a forced or performative way. We slow things down, listen closely, and honor what your heart has been carrying. Many clients share that this is the first place they’ve felt safe enough to truly exhale. Here, your whole self is welcome.

  • Shaped by both training and lived experience.

My work is shaped by clinical training and personal experience. As a woman of faith, a mother, and someone who has walked through ministry, burnout, and profound loss, I understand the weight of carrying more than your share.

In 2021, my family experienced the loss of our six-year-old child. That season reshaped how I hold space and deepened my belief that healing doesn’t come from avoiding sorrow, but from walking through it with God’s presence and tenderness.

  • A space created for honesty, rest, and trust.

Clients often tell me this is the first place they’ve felt safe enough to exhale truly. You don’t have to hold everything together or find the right words here. You are met with warmth, honesty, and care as we tend to what’s weighing on your heart—your story, your faith, and the courage it takes to show up honestly.

Healing unfolds from the inside out, one gentle step at a time.

My Core Values

  • Come as you are—there’s no need to perform.

I offer a calm space where you can breathe, reflect, and show up honestly—without the pressure to hold everything together.

  • You matter deeply.

I hold your experiences with reverence. You won’t be rushed or minimized here.

  • You’re not stuck—you’re unfolding.

Counseling is where clarity and compassion meet, helping you see your path with kindness and care as it begins to take shape.

  • Faith is always welcome in the work we do together—but it’s never something you have to bring.

As someone who was shaped by the church, I know faith can be complicated. If you’d like to include faith or prayer, I’ll welcome it. If not, this will remain a space of warmth, respect, and wholehearted healing.

Either way, this is a place for your healing to unfold.

  • Perfection isn’t required here.

This is a space where self-compassion grows, and mistakes are met with understanding rather than shame. We make room for your honest, human moments.

  • I walk beside you—not ahead.

Our work is rooted in relationships. You bring wisdom and insight; I bring training and care. Together, we’ll move toward what’s next.

Why “The Joy of Becoming?”

Before becoming The Joy of Becoming Counseling for Women, the name was born out of deep personal loss. In 2021, our family lost our six-year-old son—a grief that reshaped everything.

Over time, I have learned that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means becoming someone who can hold both sorrow and joy. As I made room for wholeness within sorrow, I began to live with greater purpose and understanding, trusting that even in our darkest seasons, God is still at work—and we are still becoming.
