EMDR Intensives for Grief-based in the Boston area for Women across  New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Grief may change you — but it doesn’t have to define you.

You’re a woman who wants to face your grief with intention — not to erase the pain, but to honor the love and begin to heal.

Here, you don’t have to carry it alone. Together we’ll tend to your grief with compassion, biblical faith, and care that honors both your story and your spirit.

Grief Woven with Grace

Whether you’ve lost a spouse, child, parent, sibling, or close friend, the absence you feel can echo through every part of life. It may influence how you show up at work, how you connect with others, or how you relate to God. You may be wondering whether peace or joy will ever return.

This is where faith-integrated EMDR offers a gentle path forward — blending the science of trauma healing with the truth and comfort of Scripture. As we process painful memories, we invite Scripture and Holy Spirit to bring clarity, comfort, and release, allowing your body and soul to rest in God’s nearness.

You May Be Here Because...

  • You’re carrying grief that touches every corner of your life — showing up in quiet moments, familiar places, and unspoken questions.

  • You’ve lost your husband and feel the ache woven through everyday routines.

  • You’re a mother grieving the child you can no longer hold.

  • You’ve said goodbye to a parent, sibling, or dear friend and feel the void they left behind.

  • You’ve led and cared for others with faith, yet your own heart longs for a sacred space to rest and be restored.

  • Your loss was sudden, and you’re still trying to make sense of what happened.

Here, your grief is met with compassion rather than urgency. Together, we’ll walk through your story — integrating EMDR for Grief with Biblical Counseling to make room for healing and the return of joy.

Why Do EMDR Intensives Work?

EMDR Intensives are extended, uninterrupted time designed to help women process grief and trauma with compassion, intention, and in the presence of God.

Continuous Care, Fewer Interruptions

Weekly sessions often leave long gaps between moments of real progress. Intensives allow you to stay in the work—gently processing painful memories without losing momentum, without carrying the weight home between sessions, and from the pauses that can make healing feel drawn out.

Deeper Healing for the Brain and Heart (Focused Brain Sculpting)

EMDR helps the brain reprocess the experiences that shaped your pain. With extended time, deeper layers of grief and trauma can be softened, restructured, and released, helping memories lose their overwhelming charge and opening brain pathways toward resilience, clarity, and peace.

Gentle, Intentional Progress

Healing should never be rushed — but it also doesn’t need to feel endlessly delayed. Intensives create space to move through grief with focus, compassion, and gentleness so that you can carry your story differently… with steadiness, strength, and the hope of joy returning.

Frequently Asked Questions About EMDR for Grief

  • Studies show EMDR intensives are safe, effective, and often faster than weekly therapy. The focused format reduces interruptions, deepens processing, and allows for meaningful relief in less time.

For women walking through grief, this means you don’t have to sit in the heaviness longer than necessary. EMDR helps you gently reprocess painful memories so resilience, peace, and joy can begin to return.

  • Traditional sessions spend much of the hour on check-in and closing.

An intensive 3-hour session includes approximately 2.5 hours of deep work—often equivalent to five or more weekly sessions.

For grief, this momentum allows breakthroughs to emerge sooner with fewer emotional setbacks between sessions.

  • While the investment is upfront, intensives are often more cost-effective over time.
A single grief memory may take 12 weeks of traditional therapy (~$2,280), while a 1-Day Intensive ($950) can offer comparable relief in one day — conserving both resources and emotional energy.

  • Women who:

    • Feel weighed down by persistent, painful memories.

    • Are approaching tender milestones. (anniversaries, weddings, births)

    • Want meaningful relief now, not months from now.

    • Balance motherhood, ministry, or leadership, and need focused care that fits their schedule.

Each intensive is personalized to your story, values, and goals.

  • For those who desire it, integrating biblical counseling and prayer invites emotional healing and spiritual restoration.

EMDR supports the mind and body; faith integration welcomes the Holy Spirit’s comfort and Scripture’s truth into the places that ache.

Whether you prefer a faith-integrated or non-spiritual approach, the heart of this work remains the same: to help you experience freedom, healing, and the return of joy.

  • A 1 Day Intensive is ideal for one specific grief memory.

A 2 to 3 Day Intensive is best for layered grief, multiple losses, or deeper patterns.

We’ll discuss your needs in a free consultation and determine what feels right for you.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due on the first day of your intensive.

    • Insurance does not cover intensives directly. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, you may qualify for partial reimbursement. Ask your provider:

    • Do I have out-of-network coverage?

    • Have I met my deductible?

    • Which CPT codes are reimbursed (e.g., 90837 or two 90834 in one day)?

    • What percentage will be reimbursed?
